This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The narrow hilly point projecting 1.9 km into Darbel Bay on Loubet Coast in Graham Land. Situated 8.1 km NE of Rubner Peak, 29.35 km ESE of Madell Point, 43.4 km S of Cape Bellue, 9.65 km S of Gostilya Point and 9.4 km WSW of Voit Peak. Formed by an offshoot of Sherba Ridge, and separates the glacier termini of Drummond Glacier to the E and Widdowson Glacier to the S. British mapping in 1976. Named after the settlements of Sokol in Northeastern and Southeastern Bulgaria.
