This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The rounded ice-covered peak rising to 1650 m in the W foothills of Bruce Plateau on Loubet Coast in Graham Land. Situated 5.6 km SSE of Mount Lyttleton, 10 km SW of Purmerul Peak and 13.2 km NNE of Mount Bain. Steep and partly ice-free W and S slopes. Surmounts Erskine Glacier to the S and a tributary to that glacier to the W and N. British mapping in 1976. Named after the ancient town of Karia in Northeastern Bulgaria.
