Origin

This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.

Narrative

The rocky, partly ice-covered spur extending 5.3 km in SSE-NNW direction and 1.4 km wide, rising to 650 m in the W foothills of Bruce Plateau on Graham Coast in Graham Land. Situated 9.56 km NE of Mezzo Buttress, 6 km E of Vardun Point, 10 km S of Mount Dewey, and 38.8 km W of Kyulevcha Nunatak on Oscar II Coast. Steep and partly ice-free W, N and E slopes. Surmounts Birley Glacier to the N and E, and a tributary to that glacier to the W. British mapping in 1971. Named after the town of Strelcha in Southern Bulgaria.
