This name originates from Bulgaria. It is part of the Bulgaria Gazetteer and the SCAR Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica.
The ice-covered ridge extending 8.5 km in E-W direction and 3.2 km wide, rising to 2000 m in the W foothills of Bruce Plateau on Loubet Coast in Graham Land. Situated 18.7 km N of Bacharach Nunatak, 11.2 km ENE of Mount Bain, 14.58 km S of Purmerul Peak and 10.8 km W of Slessor Peak. Steep and partly ice-free S, W and N slopes. Surmounts Erskine Glacier to the S and W, and Byway Glacier to the N. British mapping in 1976. Named after the Thracian goddess Semela.
